Greek Finance Minister Steps Down To Clear Path To Aid Deal
Greece can finally relax after finally reaching a deal that will see them remain in the Euro Zone. With that, the country is bracing for new things and among the new things that country will be seeing in the coming days is a new Finance Minister as Yanis Varoufakis announced on Monday this week that he has resigned so as to create a path that will aid the deal that was reached upon.
According to Yanis Varoufakis, the Greece Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras believes that his resignation will actually help Greece in ensuring that there is a smooth path to the deal.
Yanis Varoufakis resignations unsurprisingly comes just days after the people in Greece delivered a very strong no to a package with international creditors that was meant to save Greece. Following that particular “No” decision, the country left on unchartered waters and possibly exiting the common currency that is used in Europe.
Last week Yanis Varoufakis made the frosty relationship that existed even worse by infruriating European partners of Greece by stating that creditors who wanted to lend a helping hand to Greece were using “Terrorism” so as to intimidate people in Greece into accepting lots of austerity.
One of the main reasons why Yanis Varoufakis decided to step down was revealed during a statement that he shared with the media. According to Yanis Varoufakis, he wasn’t invited in some finance ministers meetings, in fact some euro zone members actually considered him unwelcome.
